2008 Food Safety & Defense Conference Proceedings
Alabama Food Safety and Defense Conference
May 13 – 14, 2008, Montgomery, Alabama
The South Central Center for Public Health Preparedness (SCCPHP), the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries partnered to plan and host a conference that focused on issues relating to food safety and defense. The purpose of the conference was to provide information on the wide array of threats to food safety, strategies to reduce the risk of these threats, and the response to incidents of foodborne disease. In addition to providing information on food safety and defense issues this conference emphasized the need for improved inter-agency and inter-disciplinary communication and cooperation.
